Pathology Associates is a leading pathology practice providing a full range of anatomic pathology services
including extensive diagnostic
procedures and specialist consultations.
For more than two decades, our
physicians have served a diverse client
base including hospitals and medical
centers, physician and dentist offices,
and freestanding specialty surgical
facilities throughout the Central
Valley. Advancing into and beyond the
technologies of the 21st century,
Pathology Associates maintains high
service standards and proudly offers
broad ranges of specialized services.
Pathology Associates contributes to
excellence in patient care by providing
diagnostic anatomic pathology services
of consistent high quality. Diagnostic
accuracy, timeliness in reporting, and
effective communication are the foundations
of our high quality service.
We are a large pathology practice
specializing in all aspects of complex
surgical & clinical pathology. Our
doctors work in a synergistic, collegial
manner and recruit only highly qualified
board certified group members with a
broad background of experience. Founded
as a private medical practice in 1989,
Pathology Associates is a group of 12
Pathologists carrying board
certification in Anatomic, Clinical, and
Forensic Pathology. All of our physicians
are also Fellows of the College of American
Pathologists. Pathology Associates
owns and operates Sierra Pathology
Laboratories, a CAP certified histology
and cytology laboratory.
Above all, Pathology
Associates is dedicated to providing physicians,
other healthcare providers, and their patients
with unparalleled exceptional service.
Pathology Associates has a
nearly 20 year history in
Fresno. We are an
independent practice
comprised of 11 local
Pathologists and 1 specialty
consultant in
Dermatopathology located in
Boston. Members
have Specialty Boards in
Blood Banking and
Transfusion Medicine,
Forensic Pathology,
Cytopathology, and
Hematopathology. We are a
stable group, and the
pride-of-ownership that
comes with being a large
partnership shows.
Inpatient hospital referrals
are derived from stable
long-term relationships with
seven active local
hospitals, including
Community Regional Medical Center,
a regional teaching hospital and
level one trauma center affiliated
with the UCSF-Fresno Medical Education
Program. UCSF-Fresno has 240 residents
and fellows, with fellowship programs
in numerous internal medicine and
surgical subspecialties. A planned
UC Merced Medical School will also
make extensive use of the Central
Valley and Fresno for its clinical
rotations. Pathologists in our
group have clinical faculty status
at UCSF and conduct conferences
including Grand rounds, resident
teaching, tumor boards, etc.
In our rapidly growing area, a
number of our contracted hospitals
have either recently expanded
their facilities and scope of
services, or have plans for
expansion.
Outpatient referrals include
numerous regional physician
offices, endoscopy centers,
free standing surgery
centers, and clinics.
